Bob Maguire | Board Director
Bob Maguire is a Partner and Co-Head of Carlyle International Energy Partners, focusing on further developing and growing Carlyle’s international energy platform. He is based in London.
Mr. Maguire was a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners. Prior to that, he worked as an Investment Banker for more than 21 years at Morgan Stanley and was involved in many of the largest transactions within the sector.
He holds an AB from Princeton University, an MA from Oxford University, and a JD from University of Virginia School of Law.

Bendik Dahle | Board Director
Bendik Dahle is the Managing Director of Carlyle International Energy focused on international energy opportunities. He is based in London.
Mr. Dahle has been involved in Carlyle’s investments in Altera, Moeve, Varo Energy, Nouryon, and Assala Energy, and leads origination efforts across the energy value chain. He currently serves on the board of directors of Altera and Varo Energy.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2016, Mr. Dahle worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in London, where he advised on M&A transactions and capital raisings in the energy sector.
He received a BSc in Economics with first-class honours from the University of Warwick.
Akarsh Nayyar | Board Director
Akarsh Nayyar is a Vice President at Carlyle International Energy Partners focused on international energy opportunities. He is based in London.
Mr. Nayyar has been involved in Carlyle’s investments in Altera, SierraCol Energy and Assala Energy. He currently serves on the board of directors of Altera.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2021, Mr. Nayyar worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in London, where he advised on M&A transactions and capital raisings in the energy sector.
He received a BSc in Economics with first-class honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Iain Ross | Board Director
Iain Ross is an Independent Director and senior industry advisor to the energy sector. He has over 40 years of experience covering a wide range of capabilities and international locations. His focus is on strategy for growth, project delivery and operations. He is based in London.
Mr. Ross was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Golar LNG (NASDAQ: GLNG). Prior to that, he was Group Managing Director at Worley, and held leadership roles with McDermott International and Conoco.
He holds a BSc Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from Heriot-Watt University and is an INSEAD Certified Director.
