<p>We are pleased to announce that Teekay along with Wärtsilä Marine Solutions has won the <a href="https://www.tankershipping.com/news/view,tanker-industry-awards-winners-look-to-influence-industrys-future_55962.htm">Environmental Award</a> for the E-Shuttle tanker concept at the 2018 <a href="https://www.tankershippingconference.com/awards.htm">Tanker Shipping and Trade Awards.</a></p>
<p>The Tanker Shipping and Trade Awards are the only awards recognizing excellence across the Tanker industry. Congratulations to the team who was involved who showed some true Teekay SPIRIT.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.teekay.com/blog/2018/07/11/steel-cutting-e-shuttle-tanker-newbuildings-begun/">new and innovative shuttle tanker design</a> will <a href="http://bit.ly/2Hjk8a3">significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption.</a> The 130,000 dwt vessels will operate on both liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the primary fuel, and a mixture of LNG and recovered volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as secondary fuel.</p>
