Altera-Sponsored Students at the Maritime Academy in Abidjan

In October 2024, Altera awarded the first batch of sponsored students at the Regional Academy of Marine Sciences and Technology (ARSTM), during a special ceremony held at the Altera Abidjan office. After a stringent selection process, eight outstanding students were chosen based on their exam performance and the academy’s eligibility requirements. Each recipient receives full benefits, including tuition, school supplies, and living expenses.

Following the completion of the first semester (October 2024 – February 2025), we are pleased to share that the students’ academic results are both encouraging and inspiring. The scholars have shown remarkable dedication to their studies. They have successfully validated all academic unit for the semester, with three students ranking in the top ten out of 43.

In December 2024, they also participated in a two-week maritime and military training exercise alongside first-year cadets. Their performances reflects not only strong academic capability but also deep commitment to their training.

Beyond the classroom, the students are actively involved in campus life. They took part in the school’s soccer tournament and participated in the “Brain of the Seas” quiz competition.

The Academy praised the Altera-sponsored students for their outstanding conduct, emphasizing their strong moral character
and discipline. These actions are critical to upholding the Academy’s paramilitary standards.
